Candle Care

All of Neuve products are handmade in small batches here in Perth, Western Australia. Although every effort is made to ensure consistency, there may be some colour variances or slight imperfections. Our wax is made from a premium blend of soy beans which are 100% vegan, and therefore you may notice small blemishes on the side or surface of your candle. This, however, does not affect the quality and performance of the candle.

Your First Burn

When you light your candle for the first time, it is best to keep it lit for 2 to 3 hours or until the wax pool reaches the edges of the vessel. This creates a memory for future burns and avoid tunnelling.

Burn Time

Do not let your candle burn for more than 4 hours at a time as this can cause the flame to become too large and unstable.

Trim Your Wick

Always trim your wick to 6mm in between every burn. By trimming the wick, it prevents black soot which might dirty your candle jar and you will get the most burn time out of your candle!

Burn Space & Scent Throw

Whenever burning a candle, always make sure to place it in a safe area away from flammable items and keep away from windy spaces. Drafts can decrease burn time, cause uneven burning, smoking and diminished scent throw.

Clean Wax and Store Safely

Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times. Always store your candles in a cool, dark and dry place. Avoid direct sunlight or harsh indoor lighting, such as spotlights.

Don’t Burn All The Way Down

We strongly advise not to burn your candle when there is 15mm of wax or less remaining in the jar as the flame needs a solid base of wax to avoid overheating the jar and potentially causing it to break.

Treat with Caution

Candles involve a naked flame and they must be treated with caution. To prevent fire and serious injury, burn your candle within sight and never leave a candle burning unattended or in reach of children and pets.
